Foundations & footings
The load path starts here. Coarse, angular aggregate gives the mass concrete beneath a structure the strength to carry everything above it.
Frame
Structural concrete
Columns, beams and structural slabs. Controlled grading is what allows a mix design to deliver the strength the engineer specified.
Horizontal
Slabs & flooring
Floor slabs and industrial floors take load every day for decades. Consistent aggregate keeps the surface flat and the section sound.
Below the surface
Road base & sub-base
A road is a stack of engineered layers. Blended wet mix and graded stone form the base that decides how long the running surface holds.
Surface
Plastering & finishing
The last few millimetres are the ones everybody sees. Finer graded sand gives a workable mix and an even finished surface.
External works
Paving & bedding
Paver blocks and hard landscaping need a compactable bedding layer that holds level once it is loaded.
Site works
Drainage & backfill
Drainage layers, backfill and general site levelling — volume material that still has to be clean and consistently sized.
